Job Description:
TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, a leading healthcare
provider in Nashville, TN, is seeking a dedicated PACU (Post
Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse to join our professional team. This
role involves caring for patients who are recovering from
anesthesia post-surgery. Our facility prides itself on delivering
high-quality, compassionate care across a variety of specialties
including emergency services, cardiology, orthopedics, and
rehabilitation. As a PACU Nurse at TriStar Southern Hills, you will
play a critical role in monitoring and ensuring the safe recovery
of post-operative patients, collaborating with surgeons,
anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to provide the
highest standard of patient care. Monitor post-operative patients'
vital signs and levels of consciousness to ensure recovery from
anesthesia. Administer medications as prescribed by the attending
physician and monitor responses to treatment. Provide support and
comfort to patients during the recovery process and educate them
and their families about post-procedure care. Maintain accurate,
detailed reports and records of patient care. Evaluate and respond
to patient symptoms and possible complications promptly.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan,
implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Excellent ability to
monitor and assess patient vital signs and health indicators.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Capability to
administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Proficient in
using medical software for patient documentation. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee. BLS/CPR
certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
preferred.
