Job Description Job Description Account Manager – New Product Development (Direct Hire) Location: Madison, WI Salary Range: $65,000 – $77,500 annually Employment Type: Direct Hire Travel: Up to 10% A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking an Account Manager – New Product Development (NPD) to support customers through the launch of innovative thermoforming packaging solutions. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring projects move from concept to commercial production smoothly and on schedule. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact between customers and internal New Product Development teams Guide NPD projects from initial order through commercial launch Coordinate cross-functional efforts with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Experience Communicate project status, timelines, requirements, and changes to customers and internal stakeholders Respond to customer inquiries related to development status, shipping information, and first orders Manage project documentation, milestones, schedules, and action items using project management tools Coordinate quality requirements (PPAP, documentation, approvals) to ensure launch deadlines are met Initiate engineering change orders (ECOs) and support product setup within Oracle Participate in customer meetings and occasional travel with Sales Lead special projects and continuously identify process improvements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field with experience in project management, customer service, or manufacturing OR Associate’s degree with 5 years of related experience Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and strong recordkeeping skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience preferred (Oracle) Basic understanding of product drawings and blueprints Customer-focused, positive attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Work Environment Office-based role with standard business hours Minimal supervision with a high level of accountability Standard office equipment and software This is an excellent opportunity for an Account Manager or Project Coordinator seeking a long-term, direct-hire role within a collaborative manufacturing environment.
