Job Title: Production Operator (Forklift)Role & Responsibilities:
--- Adhere to all safety/housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.
--- Use of forklift in the timely loading or unloading of finished product and raw materials to/from trucks/railcars, and from the production line.
--- Interpret customer orders so as to pull, stage, load, and check materials in a manner that ensures accurate and timely shipment.
--- Recording of shipping data and other results in the manner required.
--- Troubleshoot and apply basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.
--- Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
--- Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, etc. where applicable.Qualifications & Requirements:
--- Able to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
--- Ability to inspect and troubleshoot the forklift to detect issues and maximize operational availability.
--- Ability to interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
--- Ability to apply basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
--- Proficiency at accurately recording shipping data.
--- Possess basic maintenance skills needed to help service equipment.
--- Effective teamwork and communication skills needed with all co-workers.
--- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.USG employees enjoy a number of benefit options for themselves and their families.
