HEPACO services a multitude of industries including transportation, utilities, energy, environmental consultants, industrial facilities, terminals, environmental service companies, general contractors, property owners, and the public sector through our Environmental and Remediation Services divisions. As a Railroad Service Technician, you'll be a valued member of our National Rail Services team. You'll perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, tank cleaning, product transfers, railcar damage assessments, equipment maintenance, remediation services, waste management and/or other emergency response services. As you gain experience, you'll find many opportunities to grow and develop your career within HEPACO. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a team-player with a focus on safety and quality
  • Be willing and able to regularly ravel throughout HEPACO's operating footprint as needed
  • Be comfortable operating a variety of tools and equipment including steam cleaners, product transfer equipment, air monitoring equipment, cascade systems, chemical mixers, generators, air saws, drills, grinders, cutting torches, etc.
  • Be able to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Be capable of performing physical labor associated with clean-up activities, sample collection, waste removal and other remediation tasks
  • Be able to successfully complete an OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training program, eRailSafe training and credentialing, and obtain TWIC credentialsOther Requirements:You must be able to successfully pass HEPACO's pre-employment background check, physical exam, and drug screening. The ability to drive a company vehicle is an essential function of the job - a valid driver's license and clean driving record is required. This position regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing, squatting, and kneeling. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required. This role also involves occasional confined space entry and use of personal protective equipment, including a respirator. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds or more with assistance. Be a part of the HEPACO Difference!
