Job Description:
The Population Health Analytics Consultant (Business Analytics
Advisor) is responsible for the design, development, and delivery
of analytics and reporting to foster population health management,
leveraging a variety of analytic methods, visualizations, and
modeling techniques. This includes consultation with leadership to
assess clinical and analytics needs and facilitation of insight
development. The analyst works closely with a variety of
stakeholders, coordinating analytic activities between client,
health plan, and Evernorth Direct Health resources. Responsible for
the extraction and analysis of health care utilization, cost, and
clinical outcomes from available dashboards and reporting tools.
Collects, aggregates, and organizes data and information from
various sources. Present findings of analytics research and
projects to stakeholders and leaders within clinical and operations
areas and to clients. Consults with and provides guidance to other
analysts/developers to promote growth as a team. Format requests
for data, dashboards or custom analysis by defining questions to be
answered, metric definitions, and visualization needs. Facilitates
the Evernorth Quality Improvement Program through data analytics
and serves as a consultant for QI work on projects. Collaborates
with the clinical leadership on value-based care work to maintain
and increase Population Health patient panel Experience with data
visualization and analytical software packages (i.e., Excel,
Tableau, SAS, SPSS, R Studio, PowerBI) is preferred. Assures
quality and integrity of data collected, analysis performed, and
reports generated. Develops methods for improving internal
techniques and processes. Utilizes multiple data systems to
accomplish objectives. Assess Client overall population for health
improvement opportunities based on data driven assessments and
analytics. In conjunction with the Client Benefits Team, and
internal Cigna matrix partners, provide analysis to assist with the
design of a strategic health management program that is customized
to Clients workforce, goals and budget. Analyze operational and
performance data to uncover opportunities for business improvement,
utilizing regression and other statistical modeling techniques to
conduct data mining as well as to address specific business
questions. Prepare for and participate in key planning sessions,
cross-functional meetings, and tool demonstrations Participate as a
stakeholder in evolution and enhancements of Evernorth Direct
Health clinical, population health and analytics platforms.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in
Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics,
Computer Science, or Data Science, any other quantitative
discipline preferred. Education and/or 3+ years of experience in a
data-driven healthcare operations role, such as quality or
population health may be substituted. Ability to conduct complex,
data driven analysis on small and large datasets Strong healthcare
data knowledge and hands on experience (medical claims data,
clinical data, pharmacy data and eligibility data) preferred Must
possess emotional intelligence and the ability to negotiate and
influence Strong ability to effectively communicate with leadership
and key stakeholders Experience with Tableau, R, and other data
visualizations highly desirable. Experience creating engaging
data-driven presentations in Power Point is required. Communication
skills will be critical, ability to articulate complex analysis
into simple terms. Strong track of continuous learning desire and
intellectual curiosity. Demonstrated passion around customer focus
and improving processes that impact customer Proven ability to
develop strong working relationships and establish a high level of
credibility across functional and lines of business and
organizational levels For this position, we anticipate offering an
annual salary of $90,500 - $150,800, depending on relevant factors,
including experience and geographic location. This role is also
anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
