The Opportunity The Key Account Manager's primary role is to provide top-notch support to Steam's Enterprise accounts. Steam is a full-service freight forwarder offering International, Domestic, and Drayage, and Customs capabilities. Enterprise accounts are identified as clients that use the entire gamut of services with a large send. In addition to providing white glove service to support these accounts, this person will also be a true resource for all Steam teams to problem solve the client's needs and help grow a true supply chain partnership. Primary Responsibilities

  • Strong focus on account development, always abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and geo-political impacts that can disrupt our business
  • Have in-depth understanding of the supply chain offerings that Steam employs and how we can best use them for client success
    • Work closely with clients to ensure that they have everything they need from Steam to ensure that their supply chain needs are met
    • Work in tandem with our in-house accounting department (specifically AR) to ensure that all account financials are correct
    • Assist the Executive team on creating long-standing strategies for Enterprise accounts
    • Be a high-level problem solver and work with our sales teams on strategies for assistance in growing accounts, as well as creating, expanding, and cultivating a partnership with said customer

      • Bachelor's degree in Business / Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience in the transportation / freight forwarding industry
        • Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably in a fast-paced, team environment
        • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with customers, partners, vendors, management, and team members
        • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
