DescriptionFluid Power TechnicianGeorgia Pacific in Rome, Georgia is looking to hire a Fluid Power Technician. This position will serve as a resource regarding all aspects of fluid power and pneumatic systems in the Rome Facility. This includes troubleshooting systems, preventative and predictive maintenance tasks and duties, overhaul, repair, and installation of hydraulic and pneumatic machinery in the plant, recommend and help in the design/redesign of systems in the operation.This is a 1st shift position that requires you to work from 7:00AM - 3:30PM EST. The position works a Tuesday - Sunday schedule.Minimum starting pay for this skilled position is $25.00/hourly!What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Installs new and overhauls existing electric and pneumatic equipment
  • Serves as the technical expert and troubleshoots hydraulic and pneumatic issues
  • Assists with design/redesign of new and existing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Provides failure analysis on failed equipment
  • Provides resources for training craftsmen on fluid power systems
  • Documents information and changes/improvements to systems
  • Communicates needs, improvements, and status to management as directed
  • Works smoothly with fellow employees, supervisors, and managers
  • Follows any other job-related instructions and performs other job-related duties requested by supervisor
  • Assist and/or lead RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) investigationsThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:
    • Three (3) years of experience with troubleshooting hydraulics
    • Experience reading schematics
