Job Title: Reconciliation AnalystDivision: MedSrvReports to: Cash Management Director We're growing! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work assigned reconciliation spreadsheet within the timeframe provided by Team Leader
  • Provide any remits to Athena/Legacy systems that are not posted but have been deposited utilizing resources as defined
  • Identify items that cannot be posted within Athena/Legacy systems and provide backup to AHS accounting for outside systems.
  • Identify and correct balancing discrepancies in Athena/Legacy
  • Utilize payer websites if accessible or utilize internal operational tickets to obtain needed EOBs to assist in the identification and resolution of items not found to be posted or deposited within systems
  • Document all findings and resolutions on reconciliation spreadsheet prior to providing to Team Leader
  • Upon completion of Reconciliation, spreadsheets report any unresolved issues to Reconciliation Team Leader to allow for further research.
  • Report all resolved findings to Team leader for submission to AHS accounting. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEA high school diploma is required; an Associate degree is preferred. Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLSPosition requires the ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, general correspondence, and memos. In addition, the ability to write office correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization are required. MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    REASONING ABILITYThe incumbent will be expected to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Also, should have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Will be expected to learn and comprehend basic physician billing/AR management terminology and protocols in order to effectively function within the position's scope of responsibilities.
