Job TitleSystems Developer - SamplesPosition Overview Shaw's Samples Systems group builds cutting-edge modules and applications that support the Samples Division. Shaw's Samples department is an industry leader with technology ranging from innovative shopfloor software to digital samples. We are looking for a full-time JAVA Developer (Full Stack) to become an integral part of our team. Role Overview: In this role, the Samples Systems Developer will work closely with the Lead Senior Analyst, Lead Systems Engineer, Business partners and other team members throughout I/T. You will seek to understand business requirements and build useful systems that help drive results. Minimum Qualifications:+ Must place a high value on positive, business relationships+ BA / BS Degree or equivalent practical experience+ Minimum of two years of development experience in a medium to large scale Information Services environment.+ Professional level knowledge of JAVA, JAVAScript programming language+ Demonstrate OOP skill+ Professional level knowledge of relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server+ TSQL, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers+ Above average problem-solving skills+ Demonstrate production of code based on provided business problem+ Ability to analyze and document problems and requirements that are understandable at all levels+ Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with people at all levels of the corporation, in a clear and concise manner+ Acts as an integral member of a team+ Good organizational skills and time-management skills+ Sets challenging goals and works diligently to achieve or surpass them+ Manages competing demands in a stressful environment+ Has good work habits, including the ability to work well and collaborate with others+ Takes initiative, keeps promises, honors commitments, and takes responsibility for own actions or mistakes+ Promotes change as necessary in a continually improving organization; is enthusiastic and optimistic in the face of change Preferred Qualifications+ Experience in ASAP and ASSET systems preferred+ Core web fundamentals: HTML, JavaScript, and CSS+ Full Stack developer - JAVA+ Web API+ RESTful services+ NodeJS and Command Line Interface+ Angular+ Translation of designer mockups and wireframes into an Angular front-end+ Google API+ SQL Server Required Competencies+ Execute an action plan+ Demonstrate good judgment+ Results oriented+ Adapt and change+ Build trusting relationships Our Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who is passionate, has relevant skills and experience and is ready to learn and grow as well.
