Job Description:
The largest, regional closeout grocery chain with 40 stores in
TN, NC, GA, KY, VA, and AL. Responsibilities: Coordinates
procurement of food and non-food commodities through delivery.
Analyzes the requirements for specifications, preferred suppliers,
and date needed. Solicits and evaluates proposals. Interviews
potential suppliers to meet the specified requirements. Negotiates
the lowest possible cost and balancing for optimum quality and
schedule requirements. Implements purchasing contracts that comply
with company and government regulations. Ensures products are
delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the
quality standards of the company. Maintains timely control of
orders, amendments, shipping notices, and documents.
Qualifications: 2 years of buying, purchasing related experience of
food, non-food, and grocery products. Skills: Knowledge of
Microsoft software and Purchasing software, Customer Service,
Negotiating Skills, Problem Solving and Teamwork. $60-65K, Company
Profit Sharing, Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Short
Term Disability and Life Insurance, PTO.
