Job Overview: General Tutoring - All Subjects- Part-Time SEEKING TUTORS FOR THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS BUT NOT LIMITED TO: All subjects for high school, middle or junior high and elementary students. Our students need help in math and science concepts such asgeneral math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1and2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Physics, ChemistryandBiology, so experience and knowledge in local curriculum is helpful. We also tutor students inLanguage Arts,reading, decoding, reading comprehension and writing. Some students needReading Intervention,Math Intervention, andLD Strategiesso if you have specialized training in these areas please apply. Foreign language and ESL is another subject area in which we support our students, including tutoring forSpanish, French, German,andLatin. Tutor Doctor tutors for test prep too such asACT/ SAT, ISEEand certain graduate entrance exams. RESPONSIBILITIES * Be able to provide a session report for our office and families within twenty-four hours of each tutoring session * Effectively balance tutoring hours given for each assigned student * Successfully and professionally teach students to fit their individual needs * Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests * Follow-up with office when a students enrollment package is low on hours * Candidates must only service students whose needs meet theirs MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred * Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred * Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement * Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry * Be able to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan) * Having a personality that is suited for different types of students * Strong administration skills * Strong typing, PC and recording skills * Having reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must * Access to the internet, a computer, and a smart phone COMPENSATION Competitive: Competitive hourly rates based on experience and qualifications
