  • Wellness ProgramWe invite you to join CHI Memorial Hospital today!ResponsibilitiesThe Environmental Service Tech I is responsible for completing their assignments as directed by their supervisor in accordance with established time-factors and following standard cleaning procedures to maintain the hospital environment and optimal cleanliness.
    • Greats patients, families guests, co-workers and customers quickly and professionally
    • Maintains confidentiality of information related to patients, employees and/or hospital operations at all time
    • Recognizes concerns of guests and attempts to solve or get assistance
    • Disposes of trash, selecting appropriate method according to established policies and procedures
    • Maintains assigned areas by daily cleaning of furniture and fixtures according to established policies and procedures
    • Uses supplies properly
    • Maintains floors by daily dust mopping, mopping and vacuuming
    • High dusts ledges over 6 feet, ceiling vents and fixtures weekly
    • Cleans baseboards, corners and edges weekly
    • Checks dispensers daily and refills as necessary
    • Maintains equipment in a clean manner
    • Returns equipment to proper location after each use and/or end of shift
    • Maintains supplies on patient units daily
    • Other duties as assigned by managementQualifications
      • Experience in hospital housekeeping preferred
      • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
