Predictive Reliability Tech - 1st Shift
Effectively coordinate and execute the Plant 81 PdM program to
improve and optimize the reliability of the Plant 81 production and

Perform all job duties using safe work methods.

The PdM program at Plant 81 will include ultrasonic testing,
infrared thermography, vibration analysis, and oil analysis as
appropriate to the specific equipment.
Details of the responsibilities in each program segment are
Develop a baseline reading for all plant rotating equipment.
Create a spreadsheet to track readings and determine the
appropriate time for repair or replacement.
Perform ultrasonic checks on rotating equipment and document the
Initiate corrective action for any problem areas found.
Follow up with the assigned department to ensure that corrective
actions are completed within a reasonable time.
Maintain records of all corrective actions taken.
Perform ultrasonic leak detection audits on the compressed air
systems including hoses and tubing on the equipment as production
schedules allow, but no less than annually for each piece of
Perform ultrasonic leak detection prior to all scheduled machine
Document all air leak audit findings and initiate work orders to
Track leak repairs.
Train other maintenance teammates in the proper use of the
ultrasonic device for air leak surveys.
Attend offsite training on how to properly use the Ultrasonic

Develop a baseline condition for all critical plant
Print the baseline image and create a notebook to track changes
Maintain the infrared notebook to contain the baseline
thermograph and all images taken since the baseline was
established. Include any repair work done on the equipment.
Perform infrared scans of all critical plant equipment annually,
or as conditions dictate.
Perform scans of all electrical panels and switchboards as Arc
Flash rating allows.
Scans of electrical equipment shall be done annually or as
Initiate work orders to correct any deficiencies noted during
the infrared scans and follow up with the assigned department to
ensure timely correction of the problem.
Attend offsite training on how to properly use the Infrared
equipment and how to analyze the results.
Vibration Analysis / Balancing.
Perform vibration analyses to obtain an understanding of the
condition of Plant 81 equipment.
This might be done in house, by the TPM Group or by an outside
Document and maintain records of all vibration testing and the
corrective action performed due to findings during the testing on
all plant equipment.
Develop an understanding of the vibration modes and terminology,
and the effect of vibration on plant equipment.
Initiate work orders to address high vibration readings.
Attend offsite training on how to properly use the vibration
meter and how to analyze the test results.
Direct collection of oil samples on the electrical transformers
and critical plant gearboxes as identified by the Plant Engineer
and Department Managers.
Work with the Supply Room and/or Shipping Department to get the
sample to the appropriate testing vendor. Initiate purchase orders
for the testing as necessary.
keep records for each piece of equipment and document all
testing and the repair of any deficiencies.
Initiate work orders for the repair of any problems identified
through the oil analysis.
Perform precision alignment on belts and shafts utilizing
precision alignment tools.
Train maintenance teammates on the proper use of precision
alignment tools and how to properly install belts and set belt
Actively participate and even act as a leader on critical EIT's,
downtime and scheduling meetings.
This position will require extensive offsite training for the
proper use of PDM equipment.
Fill in for absences when needed.
Assist with the training of new maintenance teammates.
Work with all departmental supervision to schedule equipment
availability to meet all PdM testing frequency targets.
Keep complete records of all equipment, testing, and corrective
Maintain a good working relationship with all departmental
personnel and PdM vendors.
Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to keep the
program on schedule.
Give a status report at the monthly TPM meeting outlining
activity for the month and highlighting any significant PdM
Attend all weekly CMMS Priority meetings and update on issues
that need addressed.
Communicate effectively with Planners, Maintenance Supervisor,
Maintenance Process Engineer, and Plant Engineer on any issues that
need to be addressed.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform all work in a
safe manner. Follow all Lockout/Tag-out procedures when working on
Complete work orders when assigned.
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and
written, with instructions, work orders, and service manuals.
Help maintain housekeeping in the shop area.
Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping
Work overtime as required.
Support PRIDE goals

Must be able to create a work order using CMMS.
Must be able to follow up, document, and close work orders in

High school education or its equivalent.
