Job Description:

Job Responsibilities/Key Accountabilities : * Retrieve and review all customer specification documents, notes, sales quotes, vendor quotes, drawings and diagrams provided for purposes of designing product for customer. * Confer with engineers and design staff to interpret design concepts and to determine design modifications needed. * Review all applicable documentation and company procedural manuals to determine critical specifications of design for production and shipping. * May revise drawings and designs based on change orders and customer requests. * Research specific structural code and regulation requirements related to buildings/projects being designed, as needed. * Meet with customers to accurately interpret design specifications, as requested by Project Management. * Coordinate and communicate with staff members in engineering, production, estimating, quality, and project management, to ensure designs meet customer expectations. * Key in specified information to produce model representation of design for review and approval by engineering, design staff and customer. * Work with manufacturing staff to interpret designs, answer questions and make changes as needed. * Monitor and update design and drafting tools as requested. * Work with Structural Engineer to design complex buildings with multiple splits * Prepare Bill of Material and structural drawing packages for review. * Strong ability to coordinate and communicate to complete small team tasks. [For Our STING And RING Program] * Perform additional duties as requested. Requirements: * Associates Degree in Engineering or CAD preferred, or equivalent drafting experience. * Proficient in Use of Solidworks 3D drafting software. * Strong math skills, ability to perform calculations. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Familiarity with of Excel, Word and other Microsoft products. * Knowledge of structural fabrication practices. * Familiarity with IBC and NEC. * 5+ years of design in a custom fabrication environment. * Exposure to custom enclosure integration.
