Job Description Shipping & Receiving Office Clerk Third party
logistics provider in Southwest Atlanta is looking for a 2nd shift
Shipping & Receiving Office Clerk. We are looking for a motivated,
energetic, outgoing individual with a team oriented approach and
flexibility. This fast paced position is primarily responsible for
inbound and outbound scheduling to ensure smooth flow of
productivity and quality of facility operations. Job duties and
responsibilities include but are not limited to: Schedule and
assign appointments for inbound and outbound loads to be processed.
Communicate with customers and carriers to schedule appointments to
pick up freight. Ensure all bills of lading and inter-company
paperwork are completed in the proper manner. Coordinate movement
of traffic flow in dock and rail doors as it relates to truck
lines. Function as liaison between warehouse staff and truck line
carriers. Communicate special comments on all orders to ensure
proper instructions are followed. Responsible for custody and
control of shipments through verification process and signature.
Job Requirements Shipping & Receiving Office Clerk Self-starter
with organizational skills. Excellent time management. Ability to
organize, multi-task and manage multiple priorities. Exceptional
written and verbal skills. Pleasant phone personality. Strong
customer service commitment. Experience with WMS and/or AS400
systems and background in warehousing and transportation is
preferred but not required. Drug and background check required.
