strategy of a case and who knows where to find the rules of
procedure and case law to back up that case strategy.
--- We need an attorney who knows how to find your way around the
courtroom, how to get things done, and how to project confidence
and competence when dealing with people on behalf of our
customers.
--- Our ideal attorney knows how to read financial statements,
understands equitable distribution, and can help put together a
child-centered parenting schedule.
--- Our ideal attorney will also have crossover legal experience
with the criminal justice system relating to substance use/abuse
and domestic violence and the juvenile justice system relating to
child welfare and child protective services.
--- Our ideal attorney has experienced and overcome a "family law
story" of their own to find peace and happiness.
--- Our ideal attorney is a strong advocate for the customer
position in and out of court, but also a strong advocate for
interest-based negotiation and cooperation.

We need someone who does not think that the occasional need to scan
your own documents is "beneath you."
--- Skills and experience are important and valued, but your
personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also

--- Our core belief system is founded on the Golden Rule and the
Serenity Prayer; that is, to treat others the way you want to be
treated, not the way you think they deserve to be treated" and "to

courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the
difference."
--- We also strongly believe in personal responsibility, personal
development, and becoming the best versions of ourselves that we
can be.
--- The right fit will have personal values aligned with our Firm
values so that will be integrated into customer advice to help good
parents make rational decisions during an irrational time in their
lives.
--- The right fit will give advice and undertake strategies
intended to reduce or manage conflict, enhance the quality of life
of our customer and their children, and avoid a damaging and
expensive courtroom battle when possible.
