Job Description:

Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell and Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening for a Legal Collections Specialist. The Client Accounts Specialist is responsible for collection activities such as sending follow-up inquiries, implementing stop work on accounts and negotiating with past due accounts.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Compile information for reporting of the progress of collections and accounts receivable aging.
* Analyze, investigate and clarify problem accounts.
* Report problem and/or doubtful accounts to appropriate parties (CEO, COO, Managing Shareholders, Office Administrator, CFAO, Director of Revenue Services).
* Facilitate and expedite the allocations of aged accounts receivable.
* Monitor the opening of new matters for existing clients with collection and/or write-off issues.
* Monitor accounts with collection problems.
* Oversee automatic rebilling for the Firm, making sure that waivers and reminders are being generated and mailed.
* Follow up on approved electronically billed invoices.
* Monitor receivable write-offs for the Firm.
* Handle any client/attorney requests.
* Participate in monthly Client Accounts meetings to report collection status.
* Assist Manager with compiling, tracking and monitoring Firm fiscal year end process as requested.
* Handles other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Revenue Services.

Qualifications will include:

* Computer experience with knowledge of Word, Excel, ARCS and ADERANT.
* Must have good organizational, communication and math skills.
* Must be detail oriented.
* Must be able to endure highly stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
* Some overtime may be required.
* Some travel may be required.
