DESCRIPTION: Under supervision of the Human Resource Business Partner, performs a wide variety of administrative support assignments in the areas of employee relations, compensation administration, affirmative action, employee benefits, employment activities, recurring and special projects. Performs payroll processing functions, prepares personnel change forms, compiles salary and other personnel metrics, answers routine human resource inquiries, conducts reference checks, performs onboarding and orientation for new employees, maintains appraisal and position description file. Processes standard reports and completes data analysis. Reports on key metrics. Interprets and administers the policies and practices of the location. Deals with confidential information appropriately. Provides administrative/clerical support to the Human Resource Business Partner and supports the production employees. RESPONSIBILITIES:* Applies established human resource policies throughout assigned operations.* Perform complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge and judgment at the same time maintaining a high level of confidentiality.* Manage data entry into HRIS systems.* Payroll system administration to include weekly payroll processing, as well as overtime tracking and attendance points management.* Hourly review and wage administration, including processing of annual General Wage Increases.* Support HRBP with recruiting efforts to include candidate screening and interview scheduling.* Assist in the preparation of monthly union meetings and negotiations.* Maintenance and administration of the Time and Attendance system.* Track and prepare monthly Human Resources balance scorecard metrics.* Process standard reports and complete data analysis.* May be involved with the publication of the company newsletter or other employee communication programs.* Manage summer internship program.* Responsible for tracking, approving, and forwarding to accounting for payment all temporary labor invoicing.* Responsible for maintaining filing system to include personnel files based on applicable federal and/or state retention guidelines. Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating.* Under general direction, assist with wage and benefit survey/reporting including the compilation of results.* Prepare internal postings and external recruiting advertisements for the Manager's approval. Maintain job descriptions and standard interview guides.* Ensures successful onboarding of all new hires, stay interviews, and the completion of exit interviews for all exiting employees.* Assist with conducting training for annual benefits open enrollment and other HR lead initiatives. Will also act as HRSC liaison for basic Service Center issues.* Coordinates all-employee site meetings and employee events.* Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions. REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor's Degree in in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline is required.* 1-3 years demonstrated Human Resource experience; Oracle experience is preferred.* Experience in a manufacturing environment or other industrial setting preferred.* Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations and recruiting and staffing required.* Required Competencies include: Customer Focus, Peer Relationships, Conflict Resolution, Planning, Organization, Action Oriented, Dealing with Ambiguity* Data analytic skills to collect and study information related to jobs, issues and costs that affect our organization.
