The property, formerly operated as The Choo Choo Hotel, features 127 guest rooms, including 25 within restored vintage train carriages, an original bar and restaurant concept, Elsie’s Daughter, with parlor, patio, and courtyard service, a 3,000SF ballroom, a fitness center, and an alpine pool. Elsie’s Daughter, an Appalachian bistro located in Chattanooga as part of The Hotel Chalet, is seeking a passionate and hardworking Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong foundation in kitchen operations and want to work in a creative and fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you’ll play a key role in executing our Appalachian-inspired menu with precision, contributing to a positive kitchen culture, and ensuring a top-quality dining experience for our guests. Qualifications: Previous experience in a line cook or kitchen position preferred. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, and move around the kitchen for extended periods. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and maintain consistency in preparation. Team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn. Job Duties: Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and guest specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station and assist with overall kitchen cleanliness. Ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner, meeting our high standards for quality and consistency. Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service. Monitor inventory levels and alert the kitchen supervisor of any shortages.
