American Traveler is hiring a travel X-Ray Technologist for a
high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 1 year of
Level 1 trauma experience and ARRT certification. Details -
Inpatient radiology department at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1
trauma center - Work settings include OR, ED, inpatient, and
portables - Patient population includes adults; willingness to
learn pediatric and neonatal imaging required - EMR: Epic and
Sectra (experience preferred) - Equipment: GE, Philips, and
CareStream radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment - 12-hour day
shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday only (2 shifts per
week) - Assigned to a department by day with floating expected as
needed - No on-call requirements - Orientation takes place during
weekdays in the first week of the contract - Travelers are expected
to work 4 weekend shifts per month - Block scheduling is generally
not approved Requirements - Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma
experience, or 2–3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility -
Experience in high-volume, high-acuity hospitals with complex and
diverse cases - Current BLS and ARRT certification required -
Graduated from a JRCERT/ARRT-approved radiologic technology program
- Proficiency with radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment (GE,
Philips, CareStream) - Comfortable working across OR, ED,
inpatient, and portable imaging settings - Willingness to learn
pediatric and neonatal imaging - Active state license required if
applicable - Mask fit test required for consideration Additional
Information - Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and
evaluate images for technical quality - Will work alongside
radiology students and perform competency check-offs - This
facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center;
candidates must have a proven background in fast-paced, high-volume
