Job Description Vascular Surgery opening in PennsylvaniaLocated in Altoona, PAFull-Time & PermanentSeeking an additional BC/BE, fellowship trained, vascular surgeon to provide full-scope vascular surgery including open and endovascular procedures, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula graphs, and extremity bypass surgery. Skill Mix: full-scope vascular surgery case mix including open endovascular procedures, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula grafts, extremity bypass surgery, angiograms. Must be proficient and comfortable with AV fistula grafts for renal dialysis patients. The Heart and Vascular Services Division is comprised of 2 vascular surgeons, 2 cardio-thoracic surgeons, 2 thoracic surgeons, and 7 cardiologists. Vascular Surgery Practice: current = 1 vascular surgeon; Hospital: 2 current vascular surgeons on staff, both employed, but in separate practices. Compensation: base salary of $500,000 incentive of $46 per physician wRVU above 10,870/yr. Est. wRVUs at 12,000 = 1,130 wRVU x $46 = bonus of $51,980 Earning Potential estimate: $551,980 at 12,000 wRVUs Sign-on bonus $30,000 Vacation: 20 days CME: 5 days / $3,500 annually Patient Load: Office: 15 20 patients per day Work Schedule: Office: M F: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Call Schedule: Practice: 1:2 | Hospital: 1:3 Location:Altoona and the surrounding communities provide an opportunity to celebrate the change of seasons, appreciate an outdoor lifestyle, and enjoy a balance between work and play.
