Join a busy L&D team delivering 200 babies/month at a growing community hospital./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Chattanooga, TN 37412 (Chattanooga nursing jobs / Tennessee travel nursing)/n - Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D) — Intrapartum, antepartum, postpartum care/n - Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/9/2026 – End: 5/11/2026)/n - Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — Night shift travel RN opportunity/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Employment Type: Travel Contract (On-site)/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 - $1,650 (competitive pay for travel RN / L&D RN)/n /n/nQualifications / Job Requirements/n /n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of practice)/n - Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience (travel nurse experience preferred)/n - Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), ACLS, BLS/n - Proficiency with Meditech and Centricity electronic documentation systems/n - Ability to work a 3-shift schedule per week, including 1–2 scheduled winter holiday shifts if assigned/n - Unit dress code: solid black, grey, or pink scrubs; no patterns, sweatshirts, or t-shirts/n /n/nResponsibilities — Labor & Delivery RN (L&D RN)/n /n - Provide expert intrapartum, antepartum, and postpartum nursing care for mothers and newborns/n - Perform cervical exams, IUPC and FSE placement, assist with vaginal deliveries, and initiate IV starts and lab draws/n - Circulate and recover cesarean sections (primarily spinal anesthesia; occasional general anesthesia)/n - Continuous fetal monitoring, maternal assessment, and rapid response to labor complications/n - Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, unit secretaries, laborists, and anesthesia teams/n - Utilize advanced tools and devices such as Jada, fetal pillow, and Cook's catheters/n - Float to Mother-Baby unit as needed (infrequent) to support maternal-newborn care continuity/n - Contribute to a positive patient experience and maintain high-quality standards for maternal and neonatal outcomes/n /n/nFacility Highlights/n /n - First hospital in Chattanooga to offer nitrous oxide therapy for labor pain management, in addition to epidural analgesia/n - Newly renovated labor and mother-baby units with state-of-the-art rooms and equipment/n - Supportive team environment with dedicated 24/7 laborist and anesthesia coverage/n - Most nurses complete specialized training to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes — strong culture of professional development/n - Ideal location for travel nurses: scenic Chattanooga, vibrant downtown, and welcoming neighborhoods/n /n/n /n This Travel RN role is an excellent opportunity for experienced Labor & Delivery nurses seeking a Tennessee travel nursing assignment in Chattanooga.
