Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center, located in the heart of
Nashville, is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Step Down Nurse to join
our expert team of healthcare professionals. Our facility strives
for excellence in providing comprehensive healthcare, including
specialized cardiac care. As a Cardiac Step Down Nurse, you will
play a critical role in supporting the recovery of patients
transitioning from intensive care within our cardiology unit. You
will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare
professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care. This
position offers you the opportunity to develop your skills in a
supportive environment that values continuous learning and
professional growth. Monitor and evaluate patients’ vital signs and
initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Work collaboratively
with the cardiovascular team to plan, implement, and evaluate
patient care plans. Educate patients and their families on disease
processes, post-hospital treatment, and lifestyle adjustments
required for the recuperative process. Administer medications as
prescribed and monitor for any adverse reactions. Operate and
monitor medical equipment used in cardiac care. Maintain accurate
patient records and prepare reports on patients' status. Comply
with hospital safety standards and infection control protocols.
Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular nursing Ability to work
well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in using
healthcare software and patient management systems Medical
