Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center, located in the heart of
Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a dedicated PRN Certified Surgical
Technologist to join our dynamic team. This position is essential
in our surgical unit, where we uphold the highest standards of
patient care in a variety of specialties such as cardiology,
oncology, and emergency services. As a PRN (pro re nata) staff
member, you will have the flexibility to work on an as-needed
basis, which may include weekends, nights, and holidays, thus
requiring a commitment to adaptability and excellence in surgical
assistance. Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of
surgeons, nurses, and other surgical personnel. Ensure that the
operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly,
and operative procedures are conducted under conditions that
maximize patient safety. Prepare, organize, and maintain sterile
field and surgical instruments/equipment. Adhere to hospital
policies and procedures to comply with all health and safety
regulations. Provide quick and effective actions in emergency
situations, displaying critical thinking skills. Collaborate with
the healthcare team to facilitate positive patient outcomes.
Proficient in sterilization techniques Understanding of surgical
procedures and terminology Ability to handle and maintain surgical
