healthcare. We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Labor
and Delivery Nurse for a PRN position within our Maternal and Child
Health department. This role demands a commitment to delivering the
highest level of care during one of the most important times in our
patients' lives. The ideal candidate will be ready to handle the
dynamics of the labor and delivery environment, providing care and
support tailored to individual needs through the birthing process.
Assess, plan, and implement care strategies for patients during
labor and delivery. Monitor fetal heartbeat and maternal vital
signs during labor and manage any complications that arise.
Administer medications as ordered by physicians and monitor
responses. Assist with inductions of labor and monitor patients for
signs of distress. Provide postpartum care to mothers and
educational support to families about newborn care. Collaborate
with obstetric teams to create a safe, supportive environment for
all deliveries. Expertise in fetal monitoring. Strong
decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform
under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of Tennessee. BLS/CPR certification required from the
American Heart Association. ACLS certification desirable.
Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB)
preferred.
