Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - Cardiac Tele Stepdown /n/n Job Details: /n • Work on 3West Cardiac unit with 30-bed capacity /n• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients to 1 nurse /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH /n• Dress code requires navy scrubs for RNs, may wear white, blue, grey, or black t-shirt underneath with no graphics /n• No artificial or gel nails or gel nail polish allowed /n• Scheduling requires equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) /n• May float to other medical/surgical areas including general medical/surgical, orthopedics, progressive care unit, and medical/surgical surgical with oncology /n• Documentation system: Meditech-HCA version /n• Equipment includes Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry and MP2s /n• Medications managed through WOW with med drawers and PyxisES dispensing system /n• Must have cardiac knowledge and experience with Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips /n• Perform procedures including chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKGs /n• Documentation requirements include telemetry application and acknowledging rhythm strips each shift /n• Follow NO PASS ZONE policy for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms /n• Participate in bedside rounding, hourly rounding with 5Ps, and patient experience initiatives /n/n Facility: /n This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility offering advanced cardiac services with modern telemetry equipment and technology.
