Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Chattanooga, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,829 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37404! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - Cardiac knowledge preferred - Advanced skills in managing Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips Description: The unit has 30 beds with a patient ratio of 5-6:1. Staffing includes a unit clerk during the day, 2-3 Patient Care Technicians on day and night shifts, a Nursing Supervisor, and Hospitalists. Specialized equipment includes Welch Allyn vital signs monitor, Novameter glucose monitor, and Philips Telemetry. Documentation is done using Meditech. Medication administration is through a medication dispensing system. Scheduling requires working every other weekend, equating to 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. The floating policy extends to various medical/surgical areas, including general medical-surgical, orthopedic, progressive care, and surgical oncology. Patient experience protocols involve bedside rounding and hourly rounding with 5 P's checked. Nurses are expected to report patient needs at the beginning and during shifts. Maintaining awareness of department focus areas is part of the role. Specific skills required include managing chest tubes and wound vacs, performing EKGs, and documenting telemetry applications. Additional guidelines include maintaining a no pass zone for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms. Employees have the opportunity to work with experienced Charge Nurses.
