Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Chattanooga,
Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and

Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery Nurse – Tennessee Start Date:
January 5, 2026 Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee Compensation:
Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3 shifts per
week; 12-hour shifts; winter holiday coverage includes 1-2 day or
evening shifts Highlights: - High-volume unit with 200 monthly
deliveries in a growing community hospital - 9 labor rooms, 6
triage rooms, 3 antepartum rooms, and 3 ORs with recent renovations
and state-of-the-art facilities - Patient ratios: 1:1-2 laboring
patients, 1:2-3 antepartum, 1:1 cesarean section and PACU - 24-hour
laborist program coverage with MD and CNM; dedicated anesthesia
providers around the clock - Documentation using Meditech and
Centricity EMR systems - Minimal floating – possible to Mother Baby
unit only, not to other departments Requirements: - Active RN
license in Tennessee (or compact state license) - 2 years of Labor
and Delivery experience required - 1 or more travel contracts
completed preferred - Current certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, and
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring - Proficiency in
cervical exams, IUPC and FSE placement, vaginal deliveries, IV
starts with lab draws, circulating and recovering cesarean sections
