ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work on 30-bed medical surgical unit (2 West) with 1:6 patient ratio • Support from 2-3 technicians per shift, clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director • Equipment experience required: wound vac, heparin gtt, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, telemetry • Documentation using Editech system • Every other weekend and holiday rotation required • May float between 2 North and 2 West units • BLS certification required • Must have skills in IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythms • Advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation skills needed • Perform lab draws and IV starts • Dress code: Navy scrubs required, no fleece or sweatshirts • Expected to maintain positive attitude, meet patient and family needs, perform service recovery, and escalate issues through proper chain of command • Work in family environment with visible leadership, self-scheduling options, and learning atmosphere • Recognition programs include patient appreciation cards, employee points, colleague recognition, Daisy award, and Bee award Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical unit that emphasizes a family-oriented work environment with strong leadership visibility and learning opportunities.
