Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position in a public-service clinic environment. The clinic provides outpatient care to underserved and homeless populations, with a strong emphasis on primary care and integrated behavioral health.You will treat both adult and pediatric patients, with the majority being adults. While your primary duties will be in general outpatient care, you may occasionally be asked to assist in HIV care or behavioral health (training provided as needed). This role is ideal for a provider with a heart for community health and a strong foundation in outpatient medicine

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult and pediatric patients
• Deliver care in a team-based outpatient setting
• Perform routine physicals, pelvic exams, pap smears, and employment physicals
• Document all visits in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with a team of 6 mid-level providers
• Participate in clinic quality assurance and compliance with clinical protocols and regulations (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)
• Uphold professional standards and ensure quality patient care
• No call responsibilities
• No supervision of other providers or response to in-house codes
• Active Georgia medical license and DEA
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (IM preferred)
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 5 years of post-training clinical experience
• Graduate of an accredited U.S. medical school
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience treating medically underserved, homeless, and immigrant populations
  • Familiarity with diverse patient populations and social determinants of health
  • Prior exposure to HIV care or Integrated Behavioral Health (or willingness to train)
  • Strong charting skills using Epic EMR
  • Background in staff supervision or clinic administration (preferred, not required)
    • Shift: 7:30 AM 5:00 PM
    • Days: Weekdays only (no weekends or holidays)
    • Patient Load: patients per day
