They will do this by working in the technical organization to solve problems using the basic fundamentals of chemistry and problem-solving skills. Duties/Responsibilities Maintain a lab notebook to document project and findings.Using the scientific method, solve problems, test ideas, and develop solutions.Contribute to the application of technical data and knowledge.Build a basic understanding of the manufacturing processes and materials.Will work closely with Senior Scientist on projects.Prepare compounds and test solutions.Determine the relationship of chemical and physical properties.Become proficient in necessary analytical methods and application test protocols.Consult with scientist, chemists, production operators on interpretation and development of test results.Monitor use of equipment to ensure it is safe.Maintaining lab equipment to ensure it is measuring accurately.Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans.Assist in determining root causes of product defects.Support R&D by developing quality control standards.Support R&D with applicable testing such as stability and performance testing.Qualifications/ExperienceTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
