Job Description:
Responsibilities:Lead a $1.1B non-profit's global financial and
operational strategy, including:
- Corporate Finance and Administration functions
- Global Financial Operations
- Business Partnering
- Treasury
- Awards Management
- Internal Audit
- Supply Chain
- Shared Services
- Digital
- Legal
- Safety & Security
- Risk Management functionsRequires balancing Corporate and Board
level financial matters, field operational support, and risk
management to ensure overall financial health. Specific
responsibilities include:
- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team,
contributing to strategy and execution, developing operational
plans, and maintaining governance over investment priorities, cost
structures, and control systems.
- Support CEO and executive team in developing goals and
strategies through trend analysis, exploring new opportunities, and
advising on financial implications of business activities.
- Oversee annual budgeting and forecasting, monitor revenue and
expenses, and enforce budget accountability, updating policies as
needed.
- Oversee all investment and portfolio performance.
- Guide social investment and enterprise development activities,
including with CARE subsidiaries.
- Maintain and implement talent development and succession plans
for finance, award management, and administration staff.*Remote
work is permissible, with in-office presence as needed.*Supervises
Chief Executives and Lawyers.Requirements:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or
foreign equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in financial and operational support
roles in large global organizations, including 5 years in senior
leadership.
- Experience leading Legal, Digital, Supply Chain, Safety, and
Security operations.
- Leading large-scale digital transformation projects (ERP, HRIS,
etc.).
- Mentoring other CFOs in a global setting.
- Managing social ventures and blended finance mechanisms.
- Financial management to achieve goals and recover from
crises.
- Experience with USAID compliance, fund accounting, and cost
recovery in nonprofits.
- Experience working with or reporting to a Board of
Directors.
- Driving financial sustainability in country and regional
offices.
- Experience in the global humanitarian and development
sector.
- Growing and diversifying fundraising portfolios.
- CPA qualification or equivalent, with international travel up
to 25-30% required.
