Summary

* Management and coordination of the vehicle software, hardware, and electronic data for the complete on-board electronic systems in a vehicle production environment

Responsibilities

* Responsible for a comprehensive database of part numbers, hardware versions, software versions, vehicle parameters/coding, and vehicle electronic bill of materials


* Responsible for Implementation and comprehensiveness of new vehicle diagnostic data in the production systems for product changes and/or new product launches


* Daily management of production systems for the integration of vehicle flash, programming, and coding data


* Analysis of vehicle electronic bill of materials, coding, and programming data for implementation of product changes and in the cases of failures; development of measures for the timely prevention and resolution of failures


* Key User for company-specific Data Logistics applications used for the management of vehicle electronic bill of materials (i.e. VW Data Logistic 24, System42, and Production42)


* Leadership of a cross-functional team which is responsible for change management of all vehicle software, hardware, and the electronic bill of materials


* Responsible for Integration of tests based on new or modified vehicle content due to product changes and/or new product launches


* Support vehicle analysis team through investigation and isolation of software changes


* Work closely with vehicle systems and software developers to improve end-of-line testing processes through improvements to the vehicle software and technical content


* Participation in working groups for the purpose of the improvement of product and process control


* Responsible for quality tracking of new software, and parameter/coding changes before it is tested in production


* Work closely with quality colleagues to ensure proper testing of part changes



Qualifications

Required

* 2+ years related experience


* Bachelors in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or Computer Science


* Other Engineering fields considered based on combination of individual knowledge and experiences



Preferred

* Advanced degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or Computer Science


* Experience with XML markup language, HEX number system, Boolean Algebra/Logic


* Experience with Object Oriented Programming Languages: Specifically C++, C#, or Java
