Position Overview
Transport Enterprise Leasing, LLC (TEL) is seeking a Director,
Software Engineering to join our rapidly growing company located in
the beautiful Lookout Valley area of Chattanooga, TN. While we are

The Director, Software Development will be a key contributor to our
technology department and will manage the SDLC (software
development life cycle) as well as plan, direct, and coordinate all
activities related to software development. Additionally, this
position must collaborate with company stakeholders and understand
the company's business processes and participates in both the
business and technology aspects of the industry.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Continuously learn, share, and implement improvements in all
processes and responsibilities as needed to enhance effectiveness
of providing world class service and support
- Manages all the activities and timelines of the software
development group
- Sets attainable goals to team members to complete the project
on time
- Provides guidance to team members to encourage work
productivity
- Make sure the timeline is followed by the software development
group
- Manages multiple projects at once and ensures appropriate
procedures and processes are followed when it comes to software
development
- Resolving performance issues and making revisions when
necessary
- Monitors, evaluates, and ensures the completion of tasks and
projects
- Communicate needed changes to development team or software
vendor
- Implements design plans, reviews unit tests
- Consistently deliver high-quality services to our business
units
- Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information
tactfully
- Deliver informative, well-organized presentations
- Possess understanding in the areas of application programming,
database and system design
- Test and debug applications and documents software
development
- Monitors status of developing software
- Writes, reviews and revises product requirements and
specifications
- Exhibit confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging
industry practices when solving business problems
- Push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing
industry practices and user mindsets
- Ensure the protection and non-disclosure of TEL's intellectual
property to third parties
Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business or computer science
and more than 5 years relevant experience
- 2+ years of administration experience with the Salesforce
platform
- Strong business analysis and functional experience, including
requirements gathering, creating solutions, and/or deploying
solutions to end users
- Experience in the following is a plus, but not required:
- SQL, SOQL, SOSL, JavaScript, Salesforce, Python, C#, .NET Core,
Domo (UDAP), Azure functions, Azure Web Services, Azure SQL
Services, Angular, React Native, responsive website development
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and products
(Sales, Service, Marketing Clouds)
- In-depth understanding of program requirements as well as an
exceptional attention to detail
- Exceptional time management, project management and
organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, under consultative direction
only, and in a team environment
- Ability to socialize ideas and influence decisions without
direct authority
- Collaborative, customer service-oriented personality, with a
strong desire to dig in and learn independently
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing
- Excellent troubleshooting, reasoning, design, and risk
assessment skills
- Proven ability to present ideas effectively to both individuals
and groups
- Highly developed analysis and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of complex programming applications
- Solid working knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Azure
- Facilitate effective team interactions and promote innovative
thinking
- Continually seek opportunities to increase user satisfaction
and deepen IT's relationship with the business unit
- Manage user expectations effectively
Wages:
$130,000 - $150,000 annually, based on experience, plus bonus
