About the Position
The Innovation Product Manager will source, develop, test, and deploy emerging supply chain solutions in the Innovation Labs, an industry-leading space dedicated to advanced logistics research and development. You will be joining a small team and will be developing or sourcing technology and solutions, testing and prototyping solutions, and managing pilot projects to solve supply chain challenges. The role will also design, create, and manage software to provide impactful solutions for operation teams.

Functions

--- Lead Kenco Innovations' prototyping practice related to supply chain trends, emerging technologies, and their application to our customers

--- Partner with key business managers on the design and implementation of web-based software, creating new solutions and digitizing manual processes

--- Participate in all aspects of agile software development as well as on-going support and enhancement of existing inhouse-developed web applications

--- Engage with cutting-edge vendors, testing their products in the Labs, providing feedback to improve the products, and then piloting the solutions in production

--- Assist with the launch of new products/services, communications, events, and delivery of technical messages to the leadership and customer contacts

--- Deliver working prototypes to business as result of research and manage as a pilot project

--- Stay abreast of trends and innovations that could benefit the organization and make recommendations to the innovation team for solution consideration

--- Participate in customer, market, and company education, which includes publication and speaking on topics related to innovation and the lab projects

--- Manage employee collaboration efforts via various mediums including an online portal

--- Select the most appropriate piloting methodology and techniques, and document results of pilot

--- Work with full range of logistics technologies, such as robotics, drones, and warehouse automation

--- Manage all exhibits in the Warehouse Labs Space to showcase available solutions and products; provide tours to visiting employees and customers

--- Manage the idea platform and run regular innovation challenges to collect, evaluate, and implement ideas that are submitted

--- Work with Kenco Implementation Manager to transition products and solutions into commercial production-ready company offerings including IT approval, business unit signoff, training materials, etc.

Qualifications

--- Bachelor's Degree in software development, automation, computer science, or related field.

--- 5 years of development and/or testing experience

--- Entrepreneurial attitude in developing new solutions; natural curiosity and drive for continuous learning

--- Self-starter; proficient multi-tasker capable of managing several projects/pilots/designs at one time

--- Previous logistics/warehousing experience is preferred

--- Experience building business relationships and garnering support for new ideas/solutions

--- Full stack knowledge across common web technologies, such as SQL/MySQL, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript.
