The Read House Hotel is seeking an established hospitality professional to join its team as *Food and Beverage Manager*! The Food and Beverage Manager will help oversee and assist in all aspects of F&B operations at the hotel. This person will assist in the preparation and execution of the department budget, assist in marketing strategies while watching expenses, and ensure all efforts are made to exceed guest satisfaction. The Food and Beverage Manager will assist in all food and beverage outlets with special emphasis on our fine-dining restaurant, Bridgeman's Chophouse.

*Primary Duties & Responsibilities: *

* Oversee and coordinate the operation; planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve revenue and cost goals
* Responsible for day to day restaurant operations
* Ensure high level of customer service and satisfaction and professionalism is maintained throughout the restaurant
* In charge of creating and posting employee schedules and showcase fairness and efficiency
* Review weekly departmental payroll reports and complete required inputs
* Effectively delegate job responsibility for an strategic focus on the operation and fair and positive work environment
* Communicate with management across the hotel to ensure effective operations and to exceed guest expectations
* Work with the Director of Food & Beverage to set targets and incentives to increase revenues, profitability and employee satisfaction in the restaurant
* Conduct regular beverage and food training with the staff with the assistance of the Director of Food & Beverage and Chef De Cuisine
* Maintain an accurate biweekly inventory of the goods and products, taking special note of the alcoholic beverages
* Abide by all company and state guidelines regarding food handling and the sales and service of alcoholic beverages
* Maintain regular and punctual on-site attendance with the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when business requires

*Job Requirements: *

_Education/ Experience: _

* Post Graduate or Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent education/ experience
* At least three to five years related experience preferred
* TABC server permit required
* ServSafe certification required


* Ability to multitask in a high-demand, fast paced environment
* Excellent computer skills
* Proven management and leadership skills
* Budget, forecast, and cost control experience
* Excellent communication skills with guests, team members, and management
* Proficiency in restaurant POS and Inventory applications

_Physical & Mental Requirements: _

* Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds
* Ability to work well under high-stress conditions
* Ability to regularly work evening and weekend shifts

_Work Environment: _

* The work environment includes high guest contact; may involve varying conditions and circumstances with guests, staff, visitors, etc.
