Job Description:
Job Description Key Deliverables Work closely with Engineers,
Salesforce and other Product Managers to develop sustainability
improvements in the various models of products in the IPS Group---s
Product Portfolio. Perform technical analyses and carbon-related
calculations associated with sustainability improvements to
understand, quantify, and communicate how the changes to our
products or processes, will improve product performance. Develop
and maintain a strategic Product Roadmap of product improvements,
describing how these new features should be developed, implemented,
marketed, and priced in the future, Perform technical and business
analyses to understand and communicate how our products compare to
similar ones offered by competitors. Key Activities &
Responsibilities Lead new product development (NPD) projects from
inception to conclusion for products in this category. Develop
business cases and deliver presentations to obtain approval and
funding for such projects. Manage NPD program cost, schedule and
deliverables. Coordinate support with management and personnel to
assure the product development projects are progressing through the
NPD process to meet assigned milestones for product launch.
Coordinate NPD rollout value message, positioning, and events with
Marketing. Work with Sales to gather, organize, analyze, and
interpret market data, to include competitor information Track
internal product performance metrics such as market share, units
sold by model, and gross margin Make management aware of new
opportunities, conditions or regulations that might drive changes
to our products, as well as possible disruptive technologies Visit
and interview existing customers to provide feedback to Sales and
Engineering on the effectiveness of our products and our value
propositions. Develop and present effective product training
materials for new Sales and Engineering personnel. Act as a Subject
Matter Expert (SME) resource for more complicated sales quotes and
product applications. To be successful in this role, your
experience and competencies are: Understanding of the process of
carbon capture such as, what technologies are available today, who
are the providers of such systems, and the engineering behind
carbon capture systems Understanding of the process of carbon
sequestration such as, what technologies are available today, who
are the providers of such systems, and the engineering behind
carbon sequestration Understanding of how the carbon credit market
works, e.g., in issues such as selling and retiring carbon credits
Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Proven strong interpersonal skills to communicate project plans,
goals, and objectives. A minimum of three years of career
experience in a technology development, sustainability, product
management, engineering, or sales roles is preferred. A technical
degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, engineering technology,
sustainability, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
Business education and/or experience is a plus. Project management
experience with tracking and reporting cost/schedule/objectives is
a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is
required Must be able to solve problems at both a strategic and
tactical level. Demonstrated track record of working with
internal/external customers to understand requirements and develop
appropriate solutions is a plus. Must be able to work effectively
as a member of a cross-functional team. Must be able to organize
and manage multiple projects and priorities. Must be able to plan
strategically and lead the execution of the strategy. Ability to
speak publicly and quickly make frequent and professional
PowerPoint presentations is required. Ability to easily deal with
data by manipulating spreadsheets to perform calculations and
identify trends in large, complex data sets This is a salaried
position so ability to travel overnight and occasionally work
longer, flexible hours to attend meetings or meet project
milestones is required. Short overnight travel is required
approximately monthly to visit customers, vendors, and trade shows.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Passport is required to perform
occasional international travel. Ability to write reports and
business correspondence is required. Supervisor and Leadership
Expectations --- Product Managers do not have direct supervisory or
managerial responsibilities but must regularly use strong
interpersonal skills to lead and influence various cross-functional
project teams. Product Directors may have Product Managers
reporting directly to them. --- Product Managers have budgetary or
program management responsibilities to plan for and execute various
developmental projects
