FreightWaves is looking for a Manager of Partnerships to help propagate our trusted and unique data and insights throughout the supply chain ecosystem. Your goal will be to build trusted relationships that are beneficial and enhance the experience and results for our and our partners' customers. Your initial target will be Transportation Management Systems (TMS) providers who service shippers, brokers, and carriers. Potential future partnering targets include providers of technology, support services, consultants, integrators, finance, business intelligence, et al.

What you will be doing:

  • Establishing, maintaining, and growing partner relationships with the goals of gaining trusted partner status
  • Representing FreightWaves' value proposition to partners and mutual customers through strong working knowledge of our SaaS offering and API, active listening, and clear written and spoken communications
  • Working with targeted partners (initially, TMS providers) to implement FreightWaves' products in their applications, including agreement execution and administration
  • Tracking and documenting partnership deals through the pipeline and providing reports for internal audiences
  • Collaborating internally on partnership program implementation, including project coordination, milestone management, assistance in onboarding partners, coordinating with sales, etc.
  • Managing the day-to-day aspects of partner relationships with a keen eye to improvements and growth opportunities
  • Researching and documenting data and industry dynamics for business case development, analysis, and opportunity prioritization; contributing to strategy development
  • Looking around corners to identify and manage opportunities and competitive threats
  • Providing feedback to the FreightWaves organization on opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Representing FreightWaves at industry events and conferences

    What you bring to the table:
    • 8+ years in business development, sales, and/or partnerships development role(s) in supply chain and logistics; experience working in or with TMS service provider(s); operational experience a bonus
    • Take-charge approach; comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and managing change
    • Strong industry knowledge and relationships
    • Strong process/project management skills
    • Experience with software and data licensing dynamics, SaaS, APIs, analytics
    • Experience with Salesforce
    • Detail oriented, analytical, and able to multitask
    • Excellent written and verbal communications
    • Travel - up to 20% - 25%, occasionally on short notice (post COVID)
