Job Description:-- This person will report directly to the Vice President of Revenue Management and has no direct reports. The primary purpose of this position is to monitor group and transient business to maximize overall hotel revenue through the development and implementation of effective inventory and room pricing based on future forecast, trends and historical data for up to twelve hotels operated by Vision Hospitality Group. This position is based in our corporate offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Job Requirements:-- ---Maximize hotel room revenue through daily leadership, logical product pricing, and continuous improvement of RevPar penetration year over year ---Strategically guide hotel toward continued RevPAR Index growth and improved rank in the marketplace ---Maintain daily rate and inventory systems management for up twelve hotels ---Ensure group inventory and cut off dates are managed according to demand ---Work with GM, DOS and FOM to ensure that sell out strategies are in place ---Provide critical analysis of strategies, room statistics and demand factors ---Identify technology enhancements needed and work with hotels for implementation within budgetary guidelines ---Ensure hotels position on the GDS and other distribution channels is consistent with each hotel's selling strategies ---Monitor competitor's rates and selling strategies and adjust accordingly ---Explore and provide variations in the market mix which would stimulate additional revenue without increasing costs ---Meet with individual properties on a regular basis, prepare monthly overview presentations ---Monitor and communicate fluctuations in occupancy to appropriate hotel /departments so they can effectively manage staffing requirements and increase efficiency ---Provide guidance on corporate transient negotiated pricing as well as group pricing ---Conduct bi-weekly Revenue Management meetings either on-site or via web-based meetings, where the appropriate booking period is evaluated for proper rate and availability control. Provide synopsis of results vs. decision for the previous month and weeks and lead discussion on future issues such as booking pace, pricing strategies, marketing opportunities and competitive environment ---Monthly review of sales reports and address concerns and action plans with DOS ---Review special events and assure that hotel's selling strategy is aligned with demand and unnecessary discounts are yielded out ---Review end of month room's statistics reports per property to include STAR and provide critical analysis on performances vs. forecasts and results of implemented strategies ---Additional tasks as assigned by Vice President of Revenue Management ---Coach development of hotel team gaining further revenue management knowledge ---Coach and deliver accuracy of 30-60-90 day forecasting Necessary Skills: ---Have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation available ---Successful Revenue Management experience in a multi-property environment ---Must be able to communicate effectively by writing, telephone and personal meeting situations ---Full Service and Lifestyle experience ---Marriott and/or Hilton Revenue Management systems knowledge ---Must be able to work a flexible schedule ---Must be organized, honest, and work well with others ---We embrace diversity, so you must be able to work with team members with a wide range of different backgrounds and cultures We are an equal opportunity employer.
