The owner's vision was to build the next 100 year old manufacturing company in Chattanooga to support OEM (original equipment manufacturers) customers. They believe that through their work "that manufacturing--companies are the backbone of the communities they live in." Over the last 15 years they have grown from 8 to over 80 employees and $0 to over $15 Million in revenue. They work in a variety of industries including logistics/distribution, display companies, data centers, and heavy equipment manufacturers. They make 1.8 million different pieces and parts for over 100 customers touching many parts of the world. Metalworking Solutions is seeking a Director of HR who will care for the whole person - from who they recruit to onboarding new employees to continuous personal and professional development of the employees. This individual must be warm, nurturing, outgoing, and take initiative. This is an incredible opportunity for the right multiplying leader who has a passion for building relationships with a variety of individuals and wants to see each employee thrive. This leader will need to be a strategic thinker, be able to multi-task and develop multiple programs and systems within the HR Department. Metalworking Solutions is growing and the Director of HR will have the opportunity to influence all things HR-related. Therefore, this will be a continuous process of learning the best systems, processes, and programs for HR, to keep up with the growing demands of the business.-- The Director of HR is a new role that Metalworking Solutions is excited to add to their team. It is an integral position as they continue to grow and think for their employees. The Director of HR will handle all HR-related tasks including ensuring the employees are happy; recruiting, onboarding, hiring, firing, and shepherding employees; establishing growth opportunities for employees; overseeing risk management; providing employees formal accountability; administering performance reviews; handling any conflict among the employees; and any HR administrative tasks. POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit, hire, onboard new employees
• Develop professional development opportunities for employees
• Ensure the culture of the company is consistent
• Develop and administer performance evaluations for employees
• Develop rewards and recognition programs for employees
• Ensure risk management is discussed thoroughly and frequently with all employees
• HR administration - benefits, 401k, compensation, maintain employee records, sick leave, maternity leave, PTO, offer letters, etc.
• Develop a strategic training and opportunity track for employees as the business grows
• Collaborate with management any needs in the HR process as the business grows
• Serve as an integral member of the company's Leadership Team Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology
  • Master's degree in HR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology preferred
  • SHRM Certified preferred
  • 10+ years of HR experience
  • Background in manufacturing preferred
  • People-oriented and outgoing
