FreightWaves is looking for a Manager of Business Development to lead our team of BDRs. We are looking for entrepreneurial-minded, high energy sales professionals with a demonstrable passion for growth. As FreightWaves' Manager of Business Development, you are truly leading the 'tip of the spear' for driving organizational growth through managing the team and overall BD processes, best practices and KPIs. You will ensure the team is consistently identifying & nurturing strong prospects for long-term partnerships.
***This position is 100% remote.
What you will be doing:


  • Responsible for day-to-day management of BDR team

  • Providing training/coaching for continuous improvement & hands-on support

  • Develop & maintain internal standard operating procedures and best practices

  • Ensure pipeline generation of new qualified leads is sufficient enough to support company revenue goals & budgets

  • Establish, document, & communicate individual/team KPIs, goals, etc. to hold BDR team accountable for productivity

  • Partner closely with the sales & marketing leadership team to execute on short- & long-term outreach strategies

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of FreightWaves' value proposition/product offerings & demonstrate ability to convey that knowledge to prospective clients

  • Meet & exceed your stated daily, monthly sales & performance KPI metrics
    What you bring to the table:

    • An enthusiastic, positive, thoughtful attitude and approach to problem-solving

    • Ability to inspire, motivate, and coach others while adapting to change

    • 3-5 years of full-time sales/lead gen experience (SaaS and/or logistics sales management is a plus)

    • Proven track record of measurable success in prospecting for new business opportunities

    • Strong leadership skills with experience in growing and developing BD teams

    • Experience with CRM & sales enablement software (e.g. Salesforce, Ambition, Gong, etc.) preferred

    • Experienced in creatively utilizing sales prospecting/lead gen tools (e.g. ZoomInfo, Linkedin, Outreach)

    • Experience with (input dedupe lead lists)

    • Experience in being held to general sales & performance metrics preferred

    • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business administration or relevant field and/or equivalent professional experience preferred

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment

    • Effective time management skills & ability to prioritize multiple tasks

    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills required
