Job Description:
ABOUT THE JOB As a Lead Machinist in the Manufacturing
organization, you will lead all aspects of the machine shop in the
Atlanta facility. Projects will be assigned via a ticketing system.
Anduril is a fast-paced environment, and new projects will pop up
daily with tight timelines. WHAT YOU’LL DO Reading and interpreting
technical drawings and CAD models to create physical, tight
tolerance parts. Programming/set-up/operation of CNC multi-axis
mill, CNC lathe, CNC router, manual mill, and manual lathe
machines. Design/spec out and implement various work holding and
fixture methods. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make
adjustments during machining process. Use CAM software to create
G-code for CNC equipment. Oversee the entire machine shop,
including but not limited to organization, machine maintenance,
cleanliness of the work area, and work prioritization. REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS 5 years experience as a machinist. Experience with
CAD software like Solidworks or Siemens NX (Unigraphics).
Experience with CAM software producing CNC machine G-code.
Experience with 3 axis milling machines and lathes. Experience with
Trak controls (or similar). Experience machining many types of
metals and plastics. High level of tooling and fixture experience.
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Can own the completion of an assigned manufacturing project from
start to finish. Ability to flex between R&D fabrication and
production tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Ability
to correctly estimated amount of time needed to complete an
assigned project. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience managing a
machine shop. US Salary Range $74,000 - $99,000 USD The salary
range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of
compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary
offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience,
education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business
