Effector Subsystems Products ESP) is are seeking a professional engineer to assume a key role within the System Power, Analog and Controls Department. Do you enjoy power converter design? What You Will Do Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry potentially utilizing any standard non-isolated power conversion topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost) including modules and discrete designs. Guide Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation. Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule. Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with linear converters Experience designing low level electronics components Experience with any of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost. Experience with design, analysis, and test with analog electronic design and analysis, including FET, BJT, and/or Op-amp circuits The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. Qualifications We Prefer Lab experience specific to power electronics and/or controls electronics Experience with software tools for electrical circuit simulation and/or printed circuit board layout Experience with fundamental power conversion concepts, components, and techniques Experience with commonly used power converter and/or motor drive control schemes Experience with circuit simulators such as SIMPLIS, Saber and/or analysis tool Mathcad. The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
