Responsibilities
Under the direction of the division manager, you will perform
piping analysis work, and interface with systems engineering,
structural engineering, piping design, and support design groups,
in the design of piping systems and pipe supporting elements.
Under the guidance of members of the Piping Analysis team, you will
support engineering design projects in the following areas:
Prepare analytical reports determining the reactions of piping on
equipment and structures
Interpret and apply code requirements
Review proposed piping support systems, identify issues, and
recommend appropriate, cost-effective solutions
Interface and exchange engineering details between external
contacts including equipment suppliers, clients, and installation
contractors
Manage workload to meet project commitments
Consult with client and others on field-related issues including
follow-up reports or design modifications
Qualifications
We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for
this position.
Essential Skills and Experience:
A BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics,
Aerospace, or Structural/Civil Engineering, from an ABET
Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program, with an
emphasis in solid mechanics, structural analysis, theory of
elasticity, metallurgy, and finite element analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valued but not required skills and experience:
Previous, related internship or co-op experience
Familiarity with CAESAR II Pipe Stress Analysis software
