We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager for our Process and Facilities team at our site in Charleston, TN.What you will do:This position will provide technical support and engineering services to operations and service units as necessary to provide for safe operations and assure regulatory compliance and availability of production units and/or infrastructure and utility systems.Managerial DutiesConsult and support capital projects executed by project engineeringManage and/or support capital invest and expense type projects within area of responsibilityManage capital investment and technical expense budgetManage and coordinate 3rd party services providersAssure safe operating conditions of production unitsAssure regulatory compliance of production unitsCoordinate and manage responsibilities and workload between plant engineers assigned to the respective plant areaLead plant engineers assigned to support the respective plant area in the performance of their responsibilitiesSpecialized DutiesAssure availability of production units at required capacity and qualitySupport process and technology transfer/exchange between Wacker's Polysilicon production sitesConduct and/or coordinate debottlenecking activitiesConduct and/or coordinate troubleshooting activitiesDrive and support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality and costDevelop and/or support development of specifications, standards and codesWork in interdisciplinary and intercultural teamsRepresent Wacker's interests towards authorities, suppliers and contractorsCompile and provide reports related to area of responsibilityCooperate with groups and individuals within the Engineering & Maintenance department, Operations and other service units with focus on achieving optimal results/solutions from a corporate/enterprise perspectivePerform all tasks and assignments in accordance with Wacker's policies and procedures.Ensure all required trainings are timely made by all team members in his/her area of responsibility.Other tasks and duties as assignedWhat we need from you:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical) required, Masters degree preferred8+ years of combined professional experience in the field of plant engineering, maintenance, and project management with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role is requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to perform and succeed in an environment of schedule and cost pressureCapability to professionally deal with changing priorities and requirementsThorough understanding of engineering principles, maintenance strategies and construction practices in a chemical plant environment.Experience in Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Change, and Safe Work Practices in a chemical processing facility.Experience in process control of OSHA PSM covered systems and processesLeadership skills combined with team player attitudeObjective judgment and fact-based decision-making approachStrong multitasking competencyAbility and willingness for domestic and internationally to Germany.Life at Wacker:Wacker is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
