Applicants must be able to demonstrate visionary leadership,

globally significant results. Position Description Managing
competition-related roles performed by U.S. Soccer as the sport’s
National Governing Body, the Competition staff oversees sanctioning
of International Games and the administration of the Lamar Hunt
U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Soccer’s National Championship. Reporting to
the Manager of Competitions, the Competition Coordinator interfaces
with a wide range of business contacts including FIFA and Concacaf,
other FIFA Member Associations, Match Agents and Promoters,
professional leagues and teams, and soccer clubs that participate
in U.S. Soccer competitions. Primary Responsibilities Competition
Management Assist in the daily administration and organization of
the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and other competitions. Duties
include, but are not limited to: Collecting and recording all
reports from teams, referees and match commissioners Approving
travel itineraries and processing reimbursement requests Vetting
team & player eligibility Communicating with participating teams
and leagues and collecting required information Work with internal
function areas and external partners to ensure successful
tournament operations Communicate schedule to the Referee
Department Promptly process all referee expense reports. Coordinate
equipment, sponsor VIK, and shipments. Order awards and serve as
liaison with Consumer Products team -Provide administrative support
to the Adjudication & Discipline process -Be an expert on
tournament regulations and the structure of all levels of adult
amateur and professional soccer in the U.S -Be an expert in using
the Competition Management Platform -Assist the Competitions Staff
in overseeing tournament operation, especially on match nights
International Games Sanctioning -Process expense reports for match
officials and maintain records of expenses. -Work closely with
accounting team on invoices and expenses. -Serve as a first point
of contact relating to International Games with Concacaf, FIFA and
match promoters including management of the International Games
inbox -Assist the Competitions Manager with the administration
process for the sanctioning of International Games within U.S.
Soccer’s territory from application process to close out including
but not limited to: Review applications and required paperwork
Prepare match agreements Coordination of referee assignments Track
the status of all matches including paperwork and payments and
communicate with the Finance Department regarding accounts
receivable and payable Assist with the submission of all pre- and
post-match reporting requirements -Be an expert on and comply with
all FIFA and Concacaf regulations and processes governing
International Games - Support the overall Events Department by
staffing U.S. Soccer events if and when required Requirements
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher Strong
interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly,
with proficiency to communicate effectively to varied external
audiences Skilled in use of latest versions of Microsoft Office
(particularly Excel and PowerPoint) Aptitude in utilizing
cloud-based, database-driven applications used for competition and
roster management. Thorough knowledge of the sport and the overall
soccer landscape in the U.S. and beyond Must have a passion for the
sport and be engrained in its culture Ability to deliver high
quality work and execute under on deadline Must be able to connect
"micro" details to the "macro" vision and mission Capable of
working in fast-paced and demanding environments Exceptional time
management skills and ability to prioritize workflow Able and
willing to travel several times per year, if necessary Able and
willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings and
weekends as needed Desired Qualifications Experience working in
sports industry, supporting event operations and/or competition
management Bilingual (English and Spanish U.S. Soccer offers a
