Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This position is for a full-time Special Education teacher working within a middle school setting in Bridgeport, CT. The role supports behavioral students in the AIM program through push-in and pull-out services. The contract runs from ASAP through the end of the school year. Key responsibilities include: Delivering specialized instruction tailored to middle school students with behavioral needs Collaborating with general education teachers to integrate support within the classroom Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional approaches accordingly Managing a caseload within one school Qualifications and experience required: Valid Connecticut Special Education teaching license Experience working with middle school students, particularly those with behavioral challenges Skills in both push-in and pull-out instructional methods Strong classroom management and communication skills Work schedule and environment: Full-time hours from 7:25 AM to 2:40 PM Middle school grade levels within the AIM program Contract position through the current school year This opportunity offers a meaningful chance to contribute to the academic and social growth of students requiring specialized support in a focused educational setting.
