Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. This opportunity is for an experienced educator
specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) instruction. The
position supports a high school student in the Atlanta area,
focusing on ASL II to fulfill graduation requirements. The
assignment spans from March 17, 2026, through May 22, 2026, with
hours per week to be determined based on student needs. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction in American
Sign Language (ASL) II to support a single high school student
Develop and implement appropriate educational activities aligned
with graduation requirements Collaborate with school staff and
families to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as
needed Maintain active communication and documentation conforming
to state educational standards Qualifications: Active Georgia
Department of Education (GA DOE) certification with specialization
in Deaf and Hard of Hearing teaching Experience teaching ASL and
supporting DHH students, ideally within a high school setting
Strong ability to tailor instruction to individual student needs
and learning styles Effective communication skills to work
collaboratively with educators, students, and families Location:
Atlanta area, Georgia (center of Atlanta) Position supports one
school and one student Contract Details: Contract position for the
remainder of the 20252026 school year (March 17 to May 22, 2026)
Hours per week TBD based on student requirements This role offers
