Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time School Psychologist position is available within an elementary school setting serving students in grades K-5. This contract role spans from early January through late May and requires on-site presence, with no hybrid or remote work options. The role involves supporting multiple schools within the Chattanooga area, with some minor travel between locations expected. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and creating behavior intervention plans tailored to student needs. This position plays a critical role in enhancing student well-being and academic success by collaborating closely with educators, parents, and administrators. Essential Qualifications: - Active Tennessee Department of Education Certification for School Psychologists - Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5) - Strong knowledge of psychological assessment, special education law, and behavior intervention strategies - Ability to manage multiple school assignments and maintain detailed documentation - Effective communication and collaboration skills with school personnel and families - Willingness to participate in minor travel between assigned schools within the district Employment Details: - Start Date: January 5, 2026 - End Date: May 21, 2026 - Full-time commitment (37.5 hours per week) - Elementary caseload varying by assignment within the district - Contract position with opportunities for extension Candidates with 0 to 10 years of school psychology experience are encouraged to apply.
