We're seeking a seasoned Lead Estimator to join our Atlanta office and play a pivotal role in shaping our future builds. Position Overview: As Lead Estimator, you'll be responsible for managing the full-cycle estimating process for industrial construction projects, including manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and heavy infrastructure. You'll collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and executive leadership to develop competitive bids and ensure accuracy in cost projections. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates from conceptual through final design. - Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. - Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing. - Participate in bid strategy meetings and present estimates to senior leadership. - Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options. - Mentor junior estimators and contribute to team development. Qualifications: - 5 years of experience in estimating industrial construction projects. - Strong understanding of construction means and methods, market pricing, and subcontractor scopes. - Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Timberline, Sage Estimating, or similar). - Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
